Judges comments:

Grey, your submission delivers an absolutely standout visual narrative, bursting with energy, humour and festive chaos in the best way possible. The scene really feels alive.

What is particularly impressive is how each individual character holds their own personality. Their expressions and poses invite curiosity, telling small stories within the larger moment. The use of watercolour adds a softness and warmth that complements the lively chaos, giving the piece a handcrafted sincerity and depth.

What truly elevates this entry is the storytelling, you can feel the movement, the panic, and the shared Halloween thrill.

2nd Place - Maiden

Judges comments:

Maiden, your piece shows a strong sense of atmosphere and style. You've created a scene that feels playful, yet gently eerie, capturing that perfect balance of Halloween whimsy without leaning too far into darkness. The violet night sky, dotted with stylised stars and a curling crescent moon, forms a backdrop that immediately draws the viewer into a soft, dreamlike world.

The work as a whole has a clear voice and thoughtful composition. The mood is cohesive, the idea is well-realised, and the narrative suggestion is subtle but engaging. It's a charming and imaginative piece, executed with care and intention.

3rd Place - Kypsis

Judges comments:

Kypsis, your piece delivers a bold and confident visual statement. The grayscale rendering is handled with real finesse! The shading creates a sculpted sense of depth, giving each character a strong presence and form. The darkness of the palette sets an unmistakably eerie tone, and the warm orange lettering provides a striking contrast that anchors the composition with clarity and intention.

There's a clear sense of mood here: dramatic, playful, and just the right amount of spooky. The characters feel expressive and lively, and your control over tone ensures that everything reads immediately and effectively. This is confident work with strong visual storytelling instincts - a memorable and compelling submission.
