Builders, it's time to get spooky again!
We're hosting a Halloween-themed Room Design Competition, and this time there are TWO categories to choose from!
Whether you're creating a cosy, haunted hideaway or designing an exciting Halloween event for the Pixadom community, we want to see your creativity come to life! Use any furniture you have to create your most spooky, magical, or imaginative Halloween build.
Choose your category carefully! You may submit ONE room in ONE category only. Each category will have its own winner.
Competition Categories
Category 1: Halloween-Themed Room
Design your ultimate Halloween-inspired room! From cosy autumn retreats and mysterious haunted houses to eerie graveyards and magical witch's cottages, the possibilities are endless.
This category focuses on creativity, decoration, atmosphere, and overall room design. Your room should capture the spirit of Halloween through thoughtful furniture placement, lighting, and imaginative details.

Category 2: Halloween Event Room
Design a Halloween-themed room intended to host an interactive event or activity for other Pixadom players!
Unlike the standard room design category, your creation should have a clear purpose beyond decoration. Think about how players would interact with your room, participate in activities, and enjoy a Halloween experience together.

A haunted maze where players must navigate their way to the exit.
A Halloween party venue with areas for dancing, socialising, and activities.
A spooky trivia or quiz room designed for a community event.
A trick-or-treat adventure with different rooms or themed challenges.
A Halloween-themed competition arena or obstacle course.
Important: Event Rooms will be judged on both their Halloween design and how effectively they could function as an actual community event. Your room should have a clear, understandable activity or purpose.
Prizes
There will be ONE winner in each category, giving two builders the opportunity to claim victory!

Prizes will be delivered directly to the winners once the competition concludes. Every entry will be publicly showcased to celebrate the incredible creativity of the Pixadom community.

Your room must follow the Halloween theme and may include furniture from any shop, including the Gem Shop, Coin Shop, or NPC Shops.
You must select ONE of the two competition categories: Halloween-Themed Room or Halloween Event Room.
Only ONE entry per player across BOTH categories is permitted. You cannot enter a room in each category, and multiple submissions will not be accepted.
All room designs must be original. Using pre-existing rooms created by other players or copying another player's design is strictly prohibited.
For the Halloween-Themed Room category, your design should focus on Halloween decoration, creativity, layout, and atmosphere.
For the Halloween Event Room category, your room must be designed around a clear event, game, or interactive activity that other Pixadom players could participate in. A decorated room without a defined event concept does not qualify for this category.
Your room must be accessible to the judges during the judging period. Event Rooms should be arranged so judges can understand how the intended activity would operate.
Submit your room name and selected category through the entry form. Your submission will be linked internally to ensure anonymous judging. Please ensure your room name is unique and creative to avoid clashing with another player's room.
Do not post your submission publicly on Discord during the competition period. This prevents idea theft and helps ensure fair judging. Any submissions posted early will be removed. Don't worry, all entries will be showcased at the end of the competition!

Each category will be judged independently, with criteria appropriate to the type of room being submitted.
Category 1: Halloween-Themed Room
Relevance to Theme
How effectively the room captures the spirit of Halloween through furniture, decorations, lighting, and environmental effects.
Creativity and Originality
How unique, imaginative, and inspired the design feels compared to typical Halloween-themed rooms.
Design and Layout
The flow, structure, and balance of the room, including furniture placement and overall visual composition.
Attention to Detail
The level of care and precision demonstrated through decorations, furniture combinations, and smaller environmental details.
Atmosphere
How successfully the room establishes a spooky, cosy, mysterious, or magical Halloween atmosphere.
Category 2: Halloween Event Room
Relevance to Theme
How effectively the event concept and room design incorporate Halloween themes, decorations, and seasonal atmosphere.
Creativity and Originality
How inventive and engaging the event concept is, including unique activities, challenges, or ways for players to participate.
Event Functionality
How practical and achievable the proposed event would be within Pixadom. Judges will consider whether the room provides a clear activity, understandable structure, and suitable space for participants.
Design and Layout
How effectively the room's layout supports the intended event, including player movement, activity areas, accessibility, and furniture placement.
Player Experience
How enjoyable, engaging, and welcoming the event would be for participating players. Consider opportunities for interaction, entertainment, and community involvement.
Judging Process
Each judging criterion will be scored out of 6 points, for a maximum possible score of 30 points per entry.
Entries will only compete against other submissions within their selected category. One winner will be selected from each category.
All entries will be submitted through a form and assigned a unique ID. Judges will not see who submitted each entry until after the winners have been selected, ensuring anonymous and impartial judging.
In the event of a tie, the following methods will be applied in order:
Judge Consensus: Judges discuss the tied entries and agree on which submission stands out most.
Weighted Criteria Review: Relevance to Theme and Creativity and Originality will receive priority. For Event Rooms, Event Functionality will also be given priority when resolving a tie.
Additional Judge Vote: An additional judge may be invited to independently assess the tied entries and cast a deciding vote.
Public Vote: If necessary, the community may vote through an anonymous poll in-game or on Discord using the unique entry IDs.
Split Prize: If a tie cannot be resolved, prizes may be shared between the tied winners.
All judging decisions are final. While creativity is subjective, every entry will be evaluated fairly and respectfully. Every participant's effort is valued and will be recognized.
